At Gelvans Pharmacy, we aim to provide safe, fast, and reliable delivery services while ensuring compliance with South African pharmaceutical laws. Please read our shipping and return policy carefully before placing an order.

1. Shipping Policy

​

Delivery Areas

​

We currently deliver to customers within 8 km  – Johannesburg, Gauteng, Western Cape. If you are outside our delivery area, please contact us to confirm if we can assist.

​

Delivery Times

​

  • Same-Day Delivery: Orders confirmed before 15:00 PM (Mon–Fri) may qualify for same-day delivery, subject to availability and area.

  • Next-Day Delivery: Orders confirmed after 15:00 PM will be delivered on the next business day.

  • No deliveries on Sundays or public holidays unless otherwise stated.

NB: We deliver only during our operation hours:

Mon–Fri: 8:30 AM – 4:40 PM | Sat: 9:00 AM – 1:15 PM

Delivery Fees

​

  • Free delivery for orders above R250

  • R60 flat rate for orders below the free shipping threshold

  • Special rates may apply for urgent or long-distance deliveries

​

Order Confirmation

​

Once your prescription or product order is received, we will confirm the availability, validate your prescription (if required), and notify you when the order is dispatched.

​

2. Return Policy

​

Due to the nature of pharmaceutical products, we follow strict regulations regarding returns to protect your health and safety.

Non-Returnable Items

​

We do not accept returns or exchanges for:

​

  • Prescription medication (once dispensed)

  • Opened or used over-the-counter products

  • Health supplements, skincare, or personal hygiene products

​

Returnable Items

​

We will accept returns or exchanges if:

​

  • The wrong product was delivered

  • The product is damaged upon delivery

  • The item is expired (at the time of delivery)

​

Conditions:

​

  • You must notify us within 48 hours of receiving the order

  • The product must be unopened, unused, and in original packaging

  • Proof of purchase is required

​

Refunds or exchanges will be processed once the returned item is received and inspected.

​

3. Cancellations

​

  • Orders can be canceled before dispatch.

  • Once dispatched, cancellations are not permitted, especially for prescription items.

  • Refunds for canceled orders (if approved) will be processed within 5–7 working days.
